Every enquiry is answered personally. If it is about a watch, we will send the full reference, the year, the service history and any marks in writing before you commit to anything. If it is a piece you want made, send whatever you have — a photograph, a sketch, a description — and we will craft it from scratch. How a commission works.

Commissions

Made from scratch, to your design

If what you are looking for does not exist, we will make it. Send us what you have in mind — a photograph, a sketch on the back of an envelope, a ring that belonged to someone, or simply a description — and we will craft it from scratch at our own bench.

There is no minimum and no obligation. Most commissions begin with a single photograph and a budget, and a great many of them are simpler and less expensive than the person asking expects.

    Tell us what you want

    Send the picture, the sketch or the description, with a budget and a date if you have one. We will tell you honestly whether it can be made for that, and what we would change if it cannot.

  2. II

    We draw it and price it

    You receive a drawing of the piece and a written quotation, itemised: the stone, the metal, the setting and the work. Nothing is ordered and nothing is charged until you approve both.

  3. III

    We source the stone

    We select the centre stone against the drawing and send you its measurements before it is set. Where you want it certificated, it goes to an independent laboratory first.

  4. IV

    We make it, and hallmark it

    Cast or fabricated here, set here, then filed, polished and hallmarked. Allow three to four weeks from approval, and longer for a stone we have to search for.
